Navigation hints

Each embryo has individual name, which consists of two letters followed by from one to two digits.

Each embryo is stained for expression of 3 proteins, one of them always even-skipped.

Embryos belonging to cleavage cycle 14 are distributed into 8 temporal classes by an extensive and thorough visual analysis of images and graphs of protein expression patterns in individual embryos, particularly that of even-skipped.

The Registered and Integrated data are currently available for a region of the embryo along the central midline in A-P direction. Currently we maintain two independent sets of Registered data.

The Integrated data are produced by averaging a given gene's expression data in the registered dataset and mapping them onto a set of nuclei of averaged embryo. The Integrated data are constructed for each segmentation gene and for each registration method.

You can query the database either by entering into the search form the individual embryo name, or by selecting the protein name(s), clevage cycle and/or time class. In the second case the query will produce the list of embryos, from which you can easily access the data for individual embryo.

At present FlyEx contains data for embryos belonging to cleavage cycle 14. Thus the selection of this cleavage cycle without any other parameter will produce the list of all embryos currently stored in the database.
